MagicSlides uses a language model to turn a source into a slide outline, then fills each slide with generated text and applies a template. The model decides the structure and the wording; it does not decide the design, and it does not know anything specific to you.

Outline first, slides second

The useful step is the outline. The model reads the source and decides how many slides the topic needs and what each covers, and almost all of the quality difference between a good and a bad generated deck is settled there.

Slide content is then written per section. This is why generated decks read fluently but generically - each slide is written from the outline rather than from anything the model knows about your audience.

What still needs a person

Your actual numbers, the argument you are making, and anything the audience already disagrees with. A generated deck gets you a structure and a first pass at wording; the parts that make it yours are the parts the model has no access to.

Treat it as a way to skip the blank page rather than a way to skip the work, and it holds up well.
