Convert a text-based PDF into an editable PowerPoint
PDF-to-PowerPoint conversion first extracts text and uses type size and document structure to suggest slide headings and bullets. Because PDF structure can be ambiguous, the extracted outline is shown for review before the deck is built.
Create a free deckExample input
A text-based PDF with recognizable headings and body copy. Scanned image-only documents may not contain extractable text.
Expected output
An editable outline followed by a themed .pptx export. The source layout is not copied pixel for pixel.
What the PDF importer actually does
The importer reads document text and groups larger lines as likely headings. Supporting text becomes bullets below those headings. This produces a presentation structure, not a visual replica of the source document.
Review is required because typography is only a signal: a large pull quote may look like a heading, while a visually subtle section label may be missed.
- Text extraction from uploaded PDF files
- Heading suggestions based on document structure
- Editable outline before deck creation
- PowerPoint export using the chosen template
Privacy and factual limits
The deck and extracted outline are stored in the signed-in account so they can be edited and exported. If the outline is sent for generation, its text is processed by the configured model provider. Do not upload material you are not authorized to process.
Frequently asked questions
Will the PowerPoint look exactly like the PDF?
No. The importer extracts content and structure, then applies a presentation template; it does not reproduce the PDF page design.
Do scanned PDFs work?
Image-only PDFs may fail because optical character recognition is not part of the current importer.
Can I edit the result before exporting?
Yes. The extracted outline and the resulting slide titles and bullets can be reviewed and changed.
