Screenshot slides that age overnight
A captured dashboard is already out of date. If the live number matters, paste it as text or link the source. A PNG of yesterday’s UI is a trap.

Date the capture
If you must use a screenshot, write the date on the slide. Silent UI chrome is how someone quotes a number you cannot defend.
Rights still apply
A competitor’s product UI in your deck is a screenshot with a lawyer. Use your own product, or describe the idea without the chrome.

Can I crop the screenshot?
Crop the noise, not the axis labels. A chart without a scale is decoration.
What about a YouTube frame?
Cite it and do not pretend it is your research. Better: pull the claim into a sentence and skip the frame.
