Asking for 25 slides on a 10-minute update guarantees filler. Pick the time, then the count, then generate.
A minute a slide is already fast. If you have eight minutes, you do not have a 20-slide story.
Count is a design choice
MagicSlides will try to fill whatever number you give it. That is not a reason to give it a large one.
Cut after
Two slides that share a title should become one. Regenerating the whole deck to “make it shorter” usually reintroduces fluff you already killed.

What about a leave-behind?
Make a short talk deck and a longer appendix file. Do not present the appendix.
Can I change the count after generation?
Yes. Delete slides. Do not treat the first count as sacred.
